Carbon fiber hydrogen cylinders are designed to achieve high-pressure hydrogen storage with reduced weight. Compared to conventional steel cylinders, they provide a superior strength-to-weight ratio, excellent fatigue resistance, and longer service life due to corrosion-free materials.
Since 2018, we have been developing Type V hydrogen cylinders.
Type V carbon fiber cylinders, featuring linerless structures, enable greater volumetric efficiency while ensuring compliance with international safety standards. Their lightweight nature improves fuel economy and energy efficiency in hydrogen-powered systems.
The resin-preimpregnated carbon fiber tow ensures complete resin penetration into the filaments. During the winding process, there is no resin dripping or overflow, and after molding, the cross-section of the cylinder is free of voids or bubbles.”
By applying dry carbon fiber tow-prepreg technology, our cylinders support multi-axis winding, which shortens manufacturing time and boosts productivity by up to 8–10 times compared to conventional wet winding.
